This competency framework has been developed by QP's English Curriculum Development Project to form the basis of the competency-based training and assessment English curriculum at QP.

The framework has been ratified by the eight members of the English Competence Team as a recommended competency framework for all Energy & Industry sector companies. This ratification is for a one-year period commencing 01/06/2005.

The levels outlined here are Introductory (Level 0), Beginner (Level 1), Elementary (Level 2), Pre-Intermediate (Level 3), Intermediate-A (Level 4), and Intermediate-B (Level 5). Higher levels will be added as they are developed.
